Puppy Socialisation
🐾 We will help you to Raise a Confident Dog
Puppy socialization means gently exposing your pup to a variety of people, animals, sounds, environments, and experiences. The goal is to help them grow into a well-adjusted, confident adult dog.
We understand that due to work commitments, this may be difficult to carry out or be consistent with.
Start Early and Be Consistent
-
Begin socializing during your puppy’s sensitive period (3–14 weeks of age).
-
Continue exposure and training through the first year and beyond—early habits shape long-term behaviour.
-
Keep experiences short, frequent, and positive.
How we can help by:
-
Visiting different places with your puppy: neighbourhoods, parks, pet-friendly stores, vet offices (for a friendly visit).
-
Introducing them to different surfaces: grass, sand, pavement, metal grates, stairs.
-
Exposing them to common sounds: vacuum cleaners, traffic, sirens, doorbells, kids playing.
-
Letting your puppy interact with people of various ages, genders, ethnic backgrounds, and those wearing hats, sunglasses, or uniforms.
-
Asking people to offer them treats calmly—encourage gentle interaction.
-
Arranging puppy playdates with healthy, vaccinated, and well-mannered dogs.
-
Supervising early introductions with cats or other household pets.
-
We will ensure all animal interactions are positive and respectful with no rough play or fear.
-
We will use treats, toys, and praise to create happy associations.
It is important to keep sessions short and end on a positive note.
